Ryan Berry Connects Champaign County Via ScreensRyan Berry has partnered with several local businesses and organizations to connect Urbana, Ohio through a digital screen project. The screens display local news, weather, social media feeds, calendars, and more, thanks to a project called "We Spend Local." The screens are installed inside of local businesses that want to help promote a "shop local" campaign for Urbana and surrounding villages in Champaign County. Partners included in the project are: Champaign County Chamber of Commerce and Visitor's Bureau, Urbana University, Urbana Daily Citizen, Berry Digital Solutions, Champaign Economic Partnership, and many small businesses in the area.
Berry said "I am excited to find new ways to connect our community and surrounding areas. Our screens are all connected to Wi-Fi, allowing them to display news, weather, and calendar updates in real time." The project is funded by advertisements, which give local businesses and organizations opportunities to advertise for as low as $25 per month. You can find out more about the project by visiting WeSpendLocal.com or by following the Facebook Page by clicking here. Currently, screens are installed at The Spotted Cow Coffeehouse, Champaign County YMCA, and Steve's Market and Deli downtown. Berry has plans to expand his project to other key locations throughout Urbana and neighboring villages in Champaign County, such as Mechanicsburg and St Paris, over the upcoming months. |
